D+: bio

D+ is an indie rock band based in Anacortes, Washington. The band was formed in 1997 by singer/guitarist Bret Lunsford (Beat Happening) along with singer/multi-instrumentalists Karl Blau and Phil Elverum (the Microphones). The band released their first self-titled full length LP in ’97 as a split between K Records and Knw-Yr-Own. The following year they released another split between K and Knw-Yr-Own entitled Dandelion Seeds. In 2002 they released Mistake, followed by Deception Pass in 2003, both albums released on Knw-Yr-Own. In 2006 D+ released No Mystery on P.W. Elverum & Sun. The band followed up with two more releases on Know-Yr-Own entitled On Purpose (“hits, rarities and live cuts”) and What is Doubt For? in 2008. Although each member is currently working on their own projects, D+ is still together.
